main players consist of industry contacts and resources gathered from New York's Digital/ DVD community by founder Edgar
A. Barua. As creative director and producer, Mr. Barua articulates and controls each step in the FILM/DVD
production & mastering process.
Mr.
Barua is also chief in-house editor of our films, music videos and documentaries. He is also joined by his chief soundtrack
designers Pablo and Peter Calderon the Tandem from Smokescreen Productions. !RLP! is also joined by associate producers Bryan
Moran and Raymond Rushforth.
Edgar A. Barua has
been involved in film production since graduating from NYU film school in '98. Immediately thereafter EAB worked on three
independent feature films and various music videos (Lil' Kim, Cam'ron, Charlie Baltimore, Lil'Cease, Wyclef) and commercials
in all different facets of production. After doing an internship at MTV's 'FanAtic' he made a strong outing as producer
of the independent 35mm short film 'Descent'. The film took him to the Santa Monica Film Festival in '99 garnering deals,
acclaim and respect. Upon returning, EAB joined the 'Special Events' department of MTV Networks in NYC and continues to be
involved with Viacom and its affiliates. Most recently working with MTV on the touted VMAs, VH1 Hip-Hop Honors, '05 Tempo
launch, Casino Cinema , the Ad Sales/ Spike/ Logo '04 & '05 Events in Puerto Rico, as well as 'The
Chappelle Show' 2nd season Premiere as scenic artist & production design. Edgar has also worked on the Super
Bowl, VH1 Fashion Awards, Movie Awards, Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade , Nascar and continues to do so annually. This
year he also experienced the 'craze' as he worked with Dreamworks on the MI3: Mission NYC premiere, went on a gaming tour
with MSN and Toast Media, and was a part of the Guthrie opening in Minneapolis with David Stark Productions.
While with the
'Hammerstein Ballroom' in Manhattan, where he worked as a technical coordinator/production manager, EAB fined tuned his visual
style for live events & concerts (working with artists like Lenny Kravitz, Stone Temple Pilots, P.Diddy, Nelly Furtado,
Busta Rhymes, Bush, etc.; & live events: SI Swimsuit Isue, MTV 20th Anniversary, Maxim, etc.). EAB was granted a
certification from Baruch College's Entrepreneurial Training Program, leaving with one thing in mind...Film/DVD Production
& Design. After producing, directing and editing two music videos summer '04 Mr. Barua has launched !RLP! ... the
result of his fantastic journey so far. He plans on shooting his short film this Spring'07 for the summer festival circuit.
He is also in development with his new show/web cast '!Platinum Status!' for a pitch to all contacts this summer including
V-Cast, and the music labels. EAB understands the potential and excitement of DVD & FILM entertainment and
wants to transcend the media to a higher level. Keep your eyes and ears wide open for...
